Job Summary
Operations and Settlement Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the settlement and reconciliation division, ensuring efficient and accurate settlement of transactions, transaction processing, reconciliation, and providing exceptional service to customers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Job Details
Operational Support:
Assist in the daily operations of the retail division, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Support the implementation of operational policies and procedures.
Transaction Settlement:
Ensure accurate and timely settlement of all transfers, bills payment and other payments products of the bank.
- Reconcile transaction records with external counterparties and internal systems.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to settlements.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional service to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to enhance customer experience.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
Assist in monitoring and managing operational risks.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and maintain accurate records of transactions and settlements.
- Generate regular reports on operational performance and settlement activities.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all transaction-related records.
- Process Improvement:
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Participate in the development and implementation of operational enhancements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the operations division.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years banking operations and settlement experience.
- Good knowledge of Banking and Payments regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with transaction processing, reconciliation and operation in a Microfinance, Fintech or Commercial Bank is preferred.
